Kerry Kao, PhD | postdoctoral researcher
Kerry earned her PhD in Bioengineering at UW in 2025. Her graduate work focused on identifying therapeutic targets for the treatment of HCM through leveraging multi-scale computational and experimental techniques to uncover the molecular mechanisms of how HCM-associated mutations in myosin alter cross-bridge recruitment and cycling. Outside the lab, Kerry enjoys baking, playing silly characters in D&D, exploring the food scene in Seattle, and hugging her dog, Shabu.
